Myanmar | How to properly clean and maintain synthetic fiber hairpieces?

Proper cleaning and maintenance of synthetic fiber hair mannequins hinges on controlling water temperature, using gentle techniques, and avoiding high temperatures and chemical damage to extend their lifespan and maintain smooth hair. Here are specific operating guidelines:

I. Cleaning Steps (Recommended every 5-8 times or when hair becomes noticeably rough)

Combing the Hair: Using a wide-tooth comb, gently comb upwards from the ends of the hair to completely untangle any knots and avoid pulling or breaking it during washing.

Preparing the Cleansing Solution: Add a small amount of neutral shampoo (such as baby shampoo) to cold or warm water not exceeding 30℃ and stir well. You can add a wig-specific conditioning solution (10:1 ratio) to enhance smoothness.

Soaking and Rinsing: Immerse the mannequin hair in water and use the "cuticle-following rinsing method"—gently run your fingers along the direction of the hair strands. Do not rub, twist, or press forcefully to avoid frizzing and deformation of the fibers.

For severely frizzy hair, soak in 5ml of hair oil for 15-30 minutes; this can increase the repair rate by 40%.

Dehydration Treatment: Wrap the hair in a microfiber towel and gently press to absorb excess water. Do not shake or wring. Maintain a moisture content of approximately 30%.

Air Dry: Place the head mannequin on a stand and let it air dry naturally in a well-ventilated, shady place. Avoid direct sunlight, hot air from a hairdryer, or proximity to heaters, as these can cause fiber hardening, curling, or increased static electricity.
