Vietnam | How to properly use a synthetic fiber hairpiece?

The key to correctly using synthetic hair clippers for basic haircutting practice lies in mastering the operating procedures, protecting the hair strands, and developing a feel for the cut and symmetry through repeated practice. Here are the specific steps and precautions:

I. Preparation Before Use

Securing the Clipper: Securely mount the synthetic hair clipper on a stand or tabletop clamp to ensure it doesn't wobble during practice, simulating a real cutting posture.

Combing the Hair: Use a wide-tooth comb to comb the hair smoothly from the ends upwards, avoiding tangles that could affect the cutting result.

Sectioning and Positioning: Divide the hair into standard sections according to your practice goals (e.g., four sections, center parting, radial parting). Use duckbill clips to secure each section, improving the organization of the operation.

II. Basic Haircutting Practice Steps

Blunt Cut Practice

Comb one section of hair straight and taut, keeping the scissors parallel to the hair section.

Starting from the ends, cut evenly in one straight line, ensuring a stable hand and consistent length.

Suitable for practicing basic control and neatness at the ends.

Layering

Take a section of hair and lift it vertically to a predetermined height (e.g., 90° angle) to serve as a guide section.

Cut along the edge of the guide section to form the starting point of the layer, then continue cutting and blending sections together to create a gradient effect.

Beginners are advised to practice low-layered cutting (with smaller length differences) first, as it is easier to control.

Bangs Cutting

Take a triangular section of hair from the center of the forehead, comb it straight, and pull it to the desired length (usually between the eyebrows or at the tip of the nose).

Cut at a slight angle with the scissors to avoid a harsh "one-cut" look. Use a point-cutting technique to increase naturalness.

Thinning

Use thinning shears (removing 15%-20% of the hair) to lightly thin the hair section at a 45° angle, avoiding back-and-forth cutting.

Focus on the ends or thicker areas to enhance the lightness of the hairstyle.

III. Post-Use Maintenance

Cleaning and Care: After use, gently pat the hair clean with water and a small amount of neutral shampoo to remove dust and static electricity residue. Do not rub.

Air Dry: After washing, place the hair in a well-ventilated, shaded area to air dry. Avoid direct sunlight or high-temperature drying to prevent the hair from becoming brittle.

Proper Storage: After combing and smoothing, cover the hair with a hairnet and store in a dry, dark place to prevent deformation and tangling.
